St Peters Pool

St Peters pool is a great place in the south of Malta. You jump into a really deep part of the ocean from a great height! But I don't have the pictures of us jumping into the pool yet!

We are actually on our way to the Maltese Food and Wine Festival in Valletta, but we are always hanging around at a bus stop waiting for the next bus.

Oklahoma Day

Early (and I mean EARLY) on a Saturday morning, the Residence was woken by the unfamiliar and awful sound of American country music! It was Oklahoma Day back in the USA, and so my room mate Morgan and her friend decided to start a party at 9am with Tequila and anything else they could get their hands on! Line dancing was also part of the tradition...

Easter Break-Cinque Terre

Ahhh, my favourite friend!

Easter Break-Cinque Terre Day 1

After and exhausting 4 hour train ride from Bologna, we finally reached the west coast of Italy and the beautiful Cinque Terre. Our first town was Riomaggiore (where we ended up staying the night). Then we walked the Via dell' Amore to the next town.

Easter Break-Parma

We took a 1 hour train ride to the city of Parma (north of Bologna). A lovely and quiet little town with more leaning towers!

Easter Break-Pasque con Illarya's famiglia

The beaches of Italy at not like our beaches in Australia. In the high months you must PAY to lie on the stand!!!!!

Tom's friend-Illarya invited us to have easter lunch with her family in Cervia. Her nonna was gorgeous! The lunch went on for hours-first piadini, then apertisers, then pasta, lamb with salad, then lamb with potatoes, then fruit, then gelato and finally coffee. Red wine, white wine, champagne! What a fantastic lunch....as we would all say "BLACK HAWK DOWN!!" and we all lay on the grass outside with distended bellies and fuzzy minds.

Easter Break-Firenze

Sure it was big, sure it was beautiful, sure it was grand...but it didn't touch me in the slightest. I should have felt inspired!!!!!

Easter Break-The leaning towers and St Luca

The next day Tom took me to the leaning towers of Bologna...can Italian's not build straight towers? Is it impossible?

St. Luca's Church

There were 665 pillars to walk by before we reached the top of the hill and the church on top of it! A long, long walk!

Part of the church...I was more interested in lying on the grass and catching my breath than snapping photos!

Me trying to be as artistic as Tom with my camera! Check out Tom's blog at http://www.tominitalia.blogspot.com/

Easter Break-Bologna

Tom and Me in his beautiful red city of Bologna! I arrived in Bologna after a 1 hour air trip from Malta to Roma, and then a 2 1/2hr train trip from Roma to Bologna.

Tom's Town!

Tom's favourite (or should I say, one of his favourite) streets in Bologna.
